In the Ole Miss / A&M game an Ole Miss player had an actual blatant helmet to helmet hit which was penalized. After the review the ejection was overturned! I love the consistency!

SJB's ejection was a bad call. The crowd was going a great boo job on it.

On the bright side, SJB was not needed. He will be rested and not dinged up for minnesota, and he might not be needed for that one.

To me, it seems the B1G officiating crews are the toughest group against the helmet shots and penalties.

No, I would say 50% red.

Terrible turnout by Purdue fans. I guess around 1/3 of the stadium was empty, 1/3 Nebraska, 1/3 Purdue.

South end zone seats were RED. NW section RED. NE section EMPTY. West side stadium(Press box side), which is where the Purdue Club seats were etc, both the north and south ends were EMPTY. About 1/2 of the remaining west seats were EMPTY and then the rest was mostly Purdue with some red.

I saw some red on that side and more red up in the luxury boxes than I did black and gold. Maybe because red stands out better and I could not see the Purdue fans through the glass.

The east stands were a lot of red. I have not downloaded pictures yet as we just got home.

I saw a hit in the Georgia Missouri game almost identical and the announcer were calling it a great clean hit and the refs didn't even blink an eye.

The big 10 has a consistent thread throughout all their calls. If it looks like it hurt it must be bad.

SJB's hit was a good clean hit in the chest. Hell the players head didn't even go back. I can't imagine how that call stood except for the fact they got some kid's mom whose son wanted to play Pop Warner and she said it was too dangerous is up there in that booth.

"Did you see that mean man??!!!! He really hurt that poor boy. That boy has a mother out there who is just going out of her mind right now. That play stands and wipe that poor boys nose. It just looks terrible."

What makes the targeting rule so unfair is that a person who supposedly is targeted, can lower their head to intentionally draw a penalty. No one can tell me that some coaches aren't encouraging their players to do this. Fucked up rule, period!

I have a way to prevent almost all injuries... Each player should carry an airhorn . When they're about to make a tackle or a block, they blast it and the tackle or block is automatically made without any contact! Wala, no more injuries! We may as well ruin football in this fashion.

If a player makes the block after hearing the airhorn, they are automatically placed in a naughty naughty corner with a dunce cap placed on their head for the remainder of the game!

It is a rule that needs changed. If a player goes up to catch a ball, the defender is encouraged to go for the legs so the receiver lands on his head. That A&M/Ole Piss hit was worse IMO. No Numb-nut ref in a booth should have a say so when it comes to ejection even though the 15 yard penalty is allowed to stand. Makes no sense what so ever...

One of the dumbest calls Ive seen so far this year, it was made very clear what side the refs and both announcers were on.
How many folks are surprised that NU would be the first in our league and more than likely the only team to have a player ejected for tackling too hard. Then they come right back and out stupid themselves by confirming after the review that indeed they made the right call

By playing the same card then Ameer should have been ejected for targeting A-Rods asshole with his head, gave himself a damn concussion looked like. Andrew got robbed for not getting credit for the tackle and no targeting penalty

I'm still trying to figure out you can tackle someone with your head in front of the ball carrier and NOT lead with your head?

I thought SJB made a picture perfect tackle from the angle he was coming from and the ball carrier brought his head down causing the helmet contact.

And that should be addressed, if a ball carrier lowers his head --> then no penalty.
