I thought he played a decent game.....He is much better in coverage then Riley I believe... For a guy with no starts, and limited snaps in a game, he played better then I had hoped for....He definetly wasn't over whelmed

It still pisses me off that we were one pick away from the chance of drafting Borland. San Fran took him and we took Long. Borland had to play most of the game last night and he looks very good.

Bottom line is nobody including his peers missed Riley last game, Why? Because he really doesn't offer much in terms of pass coverage skills, closing speed or consistency. Compton filled in nicely. There were NO other takers for Riley's services this past off season and a good reason why.

Ok, so if after a few more games it is determined that Compton is better than Riley(which it is starting to look like), than what the heck are the coaches doing in practice to determine the starting players. Are they using the current salary to determine this? I know it is tough to determine how guys will perform in games yada yada, but coaches have to put the best guys out there.

riley is good against the run and cant cover shit, so we shouldnt make him cover as much. its similar to having fletcher again. i like compton though
