Yes, its a who's who for Mid Atlantic recruiting with some cali and Southern flavor thrown in. The bat signal will be popping on twitter over the next week

I'll be stunned if Toney walks out of Happy Valley without committing this weekend. If Hudson doesn't his ship probably sails. I think you can swap Ferns/Toney and be pretty close with the staff leaving wiggle room in case a big name wants in late. Word is Nixon may even pop this weekend and Brown likely as well...the 17 class will get at least 1 more addition as well

I'm not claiming that I know more than the staff, but I'm not too sure about Toney. I watched some of his film and He looks like a good player, but imo I'd much rather wait out for Ferns. Especially cause he looks like the only one cut out for the inside.

Staff REALLY likes toney, he's younger and has a very high upside, especially once they get him in the training program. He and Ferns are 2 completely different LB positions anyhow.

So what is the situation at LB now? Are we just taking one of Ferns or Hansford and telling the other there's no room? I think both would still be very nice pickups.

I think they might take both, but who knows. They like what they've seen from Cooper and Reeder so far, so they may just pass on an ILB like Ferns this year and add the extra LB next year with a ton of great ones are in our wheelhouse area, several of which we have commanding lead for. Gus like Adams, Rivers, roberts, etc....we will take 3-3 STUD Lbs next year

If these two you're speaking of pop soon we'd be at 20. Assuming Nixon joins at some point we'd have 21. Who else do we have a shot at to round out the 25? Or does the staff not take al and stash a few schollys for next year?

Hamlin, Hansford, Hall would still be takes no matter what and they'd save a couple in case the season goes as well as they expect and a big name draws interest later on.

Slowly but surely, the brain trust at PSU are putting together the foundation of a return to the winning tradition of old before the abyss showed up. This is a good sign for a lot of folks.
