But former players have always been given access except during the Dark Age. One of the first things Osborne did when he came back was to send letters out inviting former players back. He put word out the old Husker tradition was being restored.

I don't agree with this at all. Part of the draw here for recruits is the fraternity of players throughout the years. Once you are a Husker you will always be a Husker.

But now that Dr. Tom is gone...
