That's what I'm saying dude. Yes, Mac was dealt a bad hand to start with. But, real coaches get the best out of what they have. Clearly, no one is being held accountable outside of a few post game comments that mean nothing. All we hear from mac is that he thinks this will turn around. Well, he needs to stop thinking and start implementing.

Maybe we are doomed. An aging team, Brodeur on his way to retirement, who knows if Parise wants any part of this. So depressing...But it's what being a fan is all about. Have to deal with the tough times.

Folks the season's basically over. The Devils are going to need to go 40-20 over the last 60 just to sniff a 7-8 seed.

Yep, which is another reason I'd like to see Mac gone. Our season was over way too soon. Even last year when we had all the injuries we played better than we are now. If we're letting former great Devils coach the team why not give Stevens a shot, atleast hes won cups...that means hes more qualified right? Of course I'm being hard on Mac because I'm pissed and I dont think Stevens really deserves a shot but I wouldnt mind Stevens being behind the bench last night after that BS 1st goal.

Another another note NHL Network was just showing game 7 of 03 a tribute to Burns, and I'm still pissed Marty was screwed out of the Conn Smythe. I think if Marty used the biggest pads allowed by rules like JS did then every game would have been a shut out. Of course, all of Marty's shutouts are team shutouts and his losses are all on him.......

i hate giving coaching jobs to players just because they were great...players play and coaches coach its that simple. this team has to get rid of the former players turned coaches IMO. they need to get rid of robinson and get rid of all the former coaches turned special assignment coaches or whatever

Agreed Cup, and the sad thing about last nights game was I thought we played great, the first two goals by the Blues were uter luck and BS. One we have the puck froze and no whistle after about 4 seconds.... the next was a hard shot off the board that flings back into our goalies back and in..... When it rains, it pours on this team... we cant catch a single break at all.... and this is every game it seems. What I loved about the first goal by them was all the poking they did, no whistle.... then about 5 minutes later, they cover the puck, Gionta (I think) gets one jab at his legs and he gets a penalty.... what the hell???

I'm starting to worry too about Parise, he's gonna have a lot of interest from others and i wouldn't blame him if he thought about leaving, he's already said he hasn't really been comfortable with having a different coach like every year.

I agree with this. And if Parise leaves, this team is going to have to mend a lot of fences with the fans. It may not be possible to save this team in time to make the playoffs, but this has spiraled out of control so quickly that there are bigger issues at stake.

this team is already hurting big time! it seems every day i get an new email from the team with BIGGER discounts then usual! i just got one saying 2 luxory tix seats for $75 each! earlier in the year they had discounted ranger tickets!

This season is definitely on Lou, everything he did from Tallinder, to A-train, to Kovy, to Hedberg to letting Martin, Mottau walk has looked like the wrong move. People can say that they want but this team's GAA has gone up an entire goal per game my trading out Motts and Martin for the two new guys. And we're beyond small sample sizes at this point.

Now I dont I dont follow much of what other people say, but werent other fans big on the signings and Mattau walking (no one liked Martin leaving) in the off season? I could have sworn people were saying these were the right moves to make. Hedberg was supposed to be a "quality" backup to Mary, A-train or Tallinder (I forget which) was supposed to be a shot blocking machine, and Kovy was supposed to be going for the Rocket. Again, I could be wrong, but I could have sworn people were mostly behind this in the off season.

Yea, but if we liked it on paper and though Lou was doing a good job, even the experts thought that, then we can later in hindsight say Lou did a horrible job.

listen i agree with what your saying but the difference is....lou gets paid to make sure the people he is getting are the right ones...i might agree or disagree with the choices but i dont get paid on it...nor do the experts...if lou wins 10 cups and i agreed with all his moves that gets me nada...same as the experts!

That's true, but Lou signs players based off what they've done in the past. He obviously didn't think Tallinder would have his worst start ever. He didn't think A-train would get hurt. He didn't think Kovy would score 15 goals. No one did.
