I think it depends on what kind of shape he's in? Can the Pats afford to have him on the sidelines just in case? The O line has held their own. BB could use this just to see what he really has?

Cowboys get Hardy back this week and he's already talking about Brady. Basically telling the Dallas media that Brady will spend more time digging himself out of the turf than throwing the football. I find it amazing that a guy who hasn't played in a football game for nearly 11 months is talking so much smack. If there is a football God, I hope he has Brady go 37-42 525 yards and 8 TDs and then have the Dallas media ask Hardy..."What happened?"

Devastating key injuries to the Patriots is the only thing that can make this a game. How the hell can the spread be less than 10?

I expect Weeden to march up and down the field with relative ease though it won't result in a whole lot of points. These are the kinds of games where BB let's the inexperienced QB have a day of it and then wait for the big mistake that is inevitable. Pats 42 Cowturds 23.

I think he plays in limited snaps. Have to get him back in game shape.....

Hardy never gets close to TB at all. Look for 3 TE on the field. Williams, Chandler on the ends to help out on the pass rush. I expect Chandler/Williams to have a huge game sneaking out to catch those short passes. Look for 3 TE with Edelman and Lewis on the field. Cannon/Mason will be moving in also to help out. No fucking way Hardy gets near TB, and if he does, something is wrong. I just cannot see it. Hopefully this will force Dallas to send the LB and leave the middle of the field wide open.

Def is going to stop the run and force Weeden to throw the ball. Dallas OL is good, I would look to just stand them up and let Mayo, Collins, HT fill in the gaps. Big boys across the board if you ask me. Branch/Siliga/Brown and the new guys. I would not be shocked to see all 4 on the field at once.

The guy to watch out, JS. Going to tear them up in the 2nd half when Dallas OL is a little more tired.

Word this morning is that Hardy will have limited playing time. He practiced once this week with pads and hasn't played a game in 11 months. He could be an extreme liability if the Pats decide to run the ball a lot. Brady has been electronically timed this season and his average pass release is 1.7 seconds. Physically, no DL can come out of his stance, engage another person, even a 5'5" female at 110 lbs and get to Brady 5 yards away.

Unless someone totally blows an assignment, Hardy should be a non-factor.

Just heard on NESN that Mayo could be traded. No mention of where or for what. He does have a $17.5M cap hit next year which makes it a forgone conclusion that he'll renegotiate or relocate. Mayo for Matt Forte??? Heard stories all week that the Bears are seriously looking to continue to clean house.

Hate to see Mayo go but we all knew it was coming. Even if he took a hometown discount? If the Pats can pull off a Forte for Mayo deal they need to pull that trigger.

Having said that I'm going to flip flop. If that trade was offered in the off season I would've been jumping all over it. Now with Lewis doing his thing and Blount being Blount. Which one of them leaves? I can't see the Forte/Mayo deal going straight up. Pats would need to give up more.
