NE killed it thru FA, draft and the UDFAs they signed. The roster is huge and I'm sure it's not going to be easy for Vrabe's to make all those cuts. I can see some potential trades for future mid to late rounds picks once other teams figure out what they have in camp and injuries start to accumulate. Vrabel looks to be revamping the entire squad minus the majority of quality starters. I see a lot of the back ups being released so they can hold onto some of this younger talent. Most of the new additions all seem to have good character, and the eat, sleep and die football attitude.

Good luck Mike, not going to be easy.
Don't count on those trades. Lots of teams have tough cuts and why would a team trade for someone who can't make the cut? Maybe a guy like Bourne could have value, but for the most part, if they have value to other teams they have value to us.

Part of the process, I think we all maintain this is not a one-year process, but year one of the process is off to a great start. Trades could be tricky b/c all teams know we and any other team have to make roster cuts. They will wait until a player is cut then move in.

I am intrigued by this UDFA QB the Pats signed, I want to watch film on him. I feel you have to carry three QBs so he has a legit shot at making the roster.

Vrabel can take 90 players into full training camp. He can carry all of them until after the 2nd preseason game when he has to cut to 73. Then he has two weeks to trim down to 58. Plus 17 on the Practice Squad if other teams don't poach.

He'd be smart to start trimming after the first preseason game. If it were me, I'd be trying to trim down somewhere between 75-80. Then trim again the following week 65-75. That's when I'd be promising hard money to be on the PS.

Unless there is a known market and the team in question is further back in the claim pecking order.

Hoping he's a diamond in the rough. Going to be tough for him to break into that crowded WR room.

Watching and going into the draft I got tired of the competition thing. Curious why we never heard that argument for Shedeur?
I am wondering if he could make the team as a ST player then be used as needed situationally

After this off season and draft whatever Mike and company do, I'm on board.
Well I want to agree we use to say in BB we trust and that didn't end up so good. But I am more than pleased with how this team is progressing.

BB never really earned the team. He had the right players early on and they won. He had issues with key players like Law and Malloy. TB really was the glue that allowed the BB way to assimilate into the Patriot way. Without TB that glue was gone, as well as the winning. I don't discount BB's impact, but he needed the TB pressence.

But getting into the RB room should be a lot easier...

Williams was a 3rd round pick, and he's guaranteed a spot.

UDFA WR Efton Chism clocked a 4.71 in the 40 and projects as a fringe slot receiver. He totaled more than 2,200 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

He was actually much more productive than Polk or Baker in college. That and he gets separation in almost every one on one situation.

Both of the 2024 picks will either be cuts or Practice Squad. There is no love for either. They both mess their pants last year and will have to be ten times better or they'll be noithing more than a memory.

I don't think he can make it in the WR room.
Fortunatly, he is a RB. And I think he has a real chance to stick.
Call him "Baby Jeanty?"

Gaystache...???

Fuck you.

I...I...I've never even seen a penis, never mind like it.
"While the 6-foot, 215-pound runner has a strong track record for production, Larison also has some traits that could fit in right at home with Vrabel. Outside of an elite mustache, the Idaho native was the top high school steer wrestler in the United States, adding some extra toughness to the Patriots backfield."

I think Chism will be PS. No way he leapfrogs Boutte.

Boutte was our best WR last year.
