As an ASU fan, you think winning conference championships and Rose Bowls are irrelevant. I get it. It's hard to care about something that you know isn't going to happen.

I know there's a lot to recruit rankings and implied future success, but if there was ever a year (or two including 2021) where the ratings are suspect, this is it. Nobody's going to camps, nobody's seen these guys in 5 months. Wouldn't be shocking if some don't even get to play their senior seasons.

In light of that, I don't mind what ASU's doing. When in doubt, just recruit size. Most of their class is like 6'5" or taller and some of the ones who aren't are still huge for their position. I think we're supposed to be in the lead now for some 6'8", 280 pound DL.

I will admit, I didn't think Herm Edwards would do as well as he has so far at ASU. He's surprising me, he's getting some really good prospects down there. The next big test will be if he can somehow keep the elite AZ prospects in state, next cycle.

If you are unsure of talent, get the biggest guy and hope you can teach him how to play.
