I would think it more productive for you to advocate for Jimmy Lake to get hired as a DC or HC somewhere. UW's secondary just flat out owns the air raid under him.

That's horsecrap. UW's secondary didn't do dick yesterday except catch the balls throw right to them You guys stuffed one rushing attempt and has like maybe 2 legitimate QB pressures/sacks. It Leach for letting Luke Falk play then not taking the easy plays the defense gave them. And its on Mike Leach for being a rugby playing pretending to be a QB coach, OC and HC.

ok, maybe you need a refresher on football 101.

UW was rushing 3 much of the game. Your line couldn't stop Vea even on double teams, this is true. But there were MANY plays that Falk held onto the ball way too long. Why? Because when rushing just 3 you have a matchup nightmare in coverage. There wasn't one deep ball behind that defense and most of that was coverage. I only managed to rewatch the first quarter, but it was glaring how tight that coverage was.

No one denied (and in fact I summarized it quite well in the game thread) that Falk more or less choked. He had short bursts of success throwing shallow crosses and other under routes, but even those were covered quite a bit because of the numbers mismatch with rushing only 3.

Members of the Oregon State football coaching staff have been told to leave their offices at the Valley Football Center by Tuesday night, an OSU official told The Oregonian/OregonLive.

Interim coach Cory Hall will have the option to remain in the office. Coaches have been told their contracts will be honored through completion, but they will work from home after Tuesday.

The decision came Sunday, one day after the Beavers ended a 1-11 season with a 69-10 loss at Oregon. Athletic director Scott Barnes met with the staff Sunday morning and, according to a source close to the situation, told them Oregon State targeted having a head coach in place by early next week.

Word is Oregon St. reached out to Jeff Tedford, but he declined an official interview and is happy at the Fresno St. gig.

Jonathan Smith did interview for the job.

Thanks to the pac12 broadcast deals and rev sharing model, money really isnt an issue for any PAC school anymore. Look at the buyouts being paid to Mora and Graham. PAC ADs arent even blinking at them. Beavs having enough money to give a competitive contract to a staff isnt the issue. Its the recruiting factor thats the hard sell. Have to find a coach like Leach or Riley thats a god at coaching up 2 and 3 star talent.

So what are your thoughts about the CCG? After watching Stanford take apart Notre Dame I'm officially nervous about this one. USC needs to score early to get Stanford out of running it all day. I trust UScs dbs can do a better job than NDs DBs so USC needs to get Stanford in 3rd in really long because anything less than 3rd n 6 Stanford will just run.

I have no idea what to make of this game. The D lost Cotton and Alfieri against ND, so even more weight will be on Harrison Phillips upfront. The two best corners are out for the season, and Love is gimpy.

In reality I think this will be a close game with each team exchanging body blows via the run early. With a fourth quarter that sees more points scored than in the 1st and 2nd combined.

Same here. It can go so many ways but like you i think it will still be close going into the fourth quarter. I was hoping to get Porter Gustin back for this game but no word on him practicing yet so it's doubtful.
