If you wanted to make fun of Petersen during his first season no one could have stopped you. It's college football man. Rivalry speak and taunting comes with it. You can't be that sensitive and be a college football fan.

Helton has arguably a better win than Petersen does, but needs to do it longer. They had another shaky start this year which makes you question some things given how much more talent they have than any of the rest of us.

Taggart has to go show he and his staff can lead a team at this level on this stage and be something more than no TD taggart. Until then, he's no TD taggart.

Burmeister was supposed to red shirt and from spring would have been 5 if Wilson and Jonsen hadn't transferred.

Although I hate on Oregon, I'm not counting them dead by a long shot. First year HC, lost their starting QB, and Helfrich's staff didn't help much with recruiting. It is what it is.

Starting to see that quite a bit, actually. It has more to do with salaries and promotions to encourage them to stay with you than making them feel good about their title. We have two guys with the DC title and it's working out pretty great.

They still do the same jobs they would if they were just called "o line coach" or "DB coach".

Don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna totally lift my nose to the Fiesta Bowl, I'll take it, but come on... I don't even have to ask you to put yourself in our spot, you guys are a couple wins away from winning the North and having a shot at the pac championship, you honestly wouldn't be just a little bummed if your team won the conference, and after not getting playoff consideration it happens to be a year the Rose Bowl is part of the playoff? Obviously any of the big 6 bowls are cool to make it to, but the Fiesta is no Rose.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never thought of the Fiesta the same as what ended up being the other BCS bowls.

I would never shit on the Rose Bowl. I'm not saying playoff or bust, I'm just saying out of the big bowls, the Fiesta has always felt like its prestige is forced, while the others have significant history. When I think of the Fiesta Bowl I think of Boise beating Oklahoma, and that's about it.
