Ducks have stars in their eyes from the last two recruit classes. I get the optimism, but next year is a rebuilding year for them, not a reload, because they're simply losing way too much experience on the offensive side of the ball and will be breaking in a new OC.Losing Dye is kind of big as well.
Won't matter though. Couple of duck fans believe they don't have to be as good because everyone else is going to be as bad or worse than they were this year. They feel they will have it by default.
Huskies have a lot of work to do as well, but Duck fans really need to come to grips with that fact that they don't have the same luxuries that programs like Bama, Ohio State, and Clemson do who have entire rosters of 4 and 5 stars from all over the country, even for their 2nd and 3rd stringers. You lose a multi-year starter at QB and that many from the OL, your going to be doing some serious rebuilding the following year. The whole "yahh man, it's just next man up" schtick doesn't apply unless your pulling in top 5 recruit classes every year.
Ducks won a Rose bowl and should just be enjoying it as it doesn't have an * next to it yet as your coach hasn't been busted buying players and having to run off to the NFL in the heat of the night with a multi season NCAA coaching ban, yet....
So for right now, you won a Rose Bowl, your not under any NCAA investigations for the FB program so it's a very legit one, and should just enjoy it, rather than yelling, "TAKE THAT WASHINGTON!!!" and cherry picking stats which seems to be the majority of what they've been doing on social media since the trophy was handed to them.
