Simmons?

PS2?

I have a feeling that this next season it will turn out to be Javonte Williams
Vonte was my guess. Also considered Surtain and Sutton or Jeudy. It will be interesting to see how long it takes Russ to really gel with each of these guys and develop trust and chemistry. Our leading receiver will be the one that does it the quickest, most likely.

It needs to be someone from the D for this team to be successful. The offense has Russ now and lots of pieces. While the D was good last year they can improve and they have a new coach. It needs to be either Simons or PS2 leading a great back end or Dre' Monte Jones leading the front 7.

Surtain would be my choice. He has a legit shot to rocket into that top-3 discussion at one of the most important positions on the field. He changes how teams have to play this defense and makes life so much easier for the new DC to get creative if Surtain can take that next step. Makes me think of back in 2005-2006 with Bailey at his peak. The Broncos were not all that talented on defense beyond Bailey. Some decent players, but they should not have been a top-10 defense. Bailey's play made it where they could get blitz happy at times and really force offenses to make quicker decisions. Without that confidence in Bailey that defense would have been destroyed.

Hoping for Browning it would give Edge spot more options in 23 and not be in dire shape if tough decisions need to be made.

I’d give the slight edge to Surtain over J Williams, but I think Williams is going to be the offense

I think Chubb is a 6-10 sack guy who can set the edge pretty well and overall solid player, but I just don't think he is a true franchise pass rusher. I hope I am wrong though. I think the Broncos pressure this year is going to come from all over the line so sack numbers will be spread out.

I still remember some of the ridiculous blitz packages they put in back then. Sometimes even an 8 or 9-man blitz. Crazy.

I think its PS2 but the problem is he would have to be injured to really see the true impact to the defense. I believe he will be our Jalen Ramsey.

PS2 was the first person that came to my mind. I don't think he needs to be injured to really see the true impact he has on the defense though... I think people saw it last year and his growth will continue this year. However, we need to have a legit pass rush for him to reach that level. Which is something I think we can build as long as Gregory and Chubb both stay healthy.

Contract year for Jones too. I think PS2 leads the league in int's.

Not saying he can't or won't but I feel like he won't be thrown at enough to lead the league in INT's. Thankfully for us we have some other good CB's on the other side of him so there are times when they will have to sling it to his side a bit. I could see him eventually being like Ramsey, Revis etc where his INT numbers may be low because he will be throw at so few times. Very important we have a good CB on the other side of him if you recall a large amount of time when Champ was here the CB opposite him was bad and constantly picked on. Lenny Walls and Kelly Herndon come to mind. Dre' Bly struggled in Denver at time sorta over his peak a bit. Andre Goodman held up pretty well.

Good ball hawks like Delta O'Neal and Trevon Diggs got a lot of INT's because A. They have good ballskills and B. They aren't great cover guys so they are thrown at a lot.

Now, we have seen good cover CB's lead the league in INT's a lot so I won't argue this too much. I just feel like opportunities for INT's for Surtain will dwindle as his career goes on.
