In 2014 the COWBOYS with Murray and Randle averaged 4.9 yards per carry, with Romo at QB
In 2015, the COWBOYS with McFadden and Randle averages 3.9 yards per carry, mainly without Romo. The RBs averaged 3.6 yards per carry when Romo played this season. I guess this proves our running game needs another RB (maybe in the draft next year)

I think no doubt Murray is missed a lot more than JJ ever thought. He was the perfect fit for the offense

I still don't miss Murray. & surely still would not to pay him what he wants for his services. No secret we need a RB though.

With no threat in the passing game, it is easier to defend the run. As far as when Romo was on the field this year. That is to small of a sample size to mean anything.

I was surprised we didn't draft a RB at all this offseason (even if in later rounds)

we are looking to have a pretty high draft pick this year. If we could land a Gurley type pick that would be awesome. I would take that pick over a QB in the next draft.

Jerry has always thought RBs were overrated...

And it's tough to get serious about an RB when the COWBOYS need 2 CBs, a run stopping DT, a major pass rusher, another WR, and a backup, future franchise QB...

It's pretty simple to me. The Cowboys have won a lot of Super Bowls over the years, usually with a guy named Dorsett or Smith in the backfield. I've heard a lot of people say Tony ''regressed'' this season. What I saw was Romo playing like he did when we were 8-8 for years, always trying to do to much, because otherwise, we weren't going to score. the lack of running game allows the defense to still rush at least 4 and carry an extra man in coverage, it has a huge effect on the passing game. In the Carolina game, we had what, 16 yards rushing when he went out in the 2nd half? I don't care if your name is Rodgers, Marino or Montana, you're not winning when you have 16 yards. RB would be a high priority for me if the right guy is there in the draft

So now that Romo is out we should expect some better rushing games I guess...

What are the odds that Murray is cut this offseason? I say either Chip is gonna go or Murray is, probably Chip. Murray costs them money to cut after this year but saves them money by pre-6/1 cutting him after 2016. Maybe they get a coach that knows how to use him next year and he does better.

But if Chip sticks around, I guess someone would give up something to get him with that contract. Some team that is looking for one year, so I guess maybe Dallas and then release him after 2016.

True. But the few touches he did get were running to the sidelines. Line him up and run right at the line. Taht is his strength.

The Eagles look more and more like they only signed him to keep him out of Dallas. They didn't have a need or a fit for him.

Murray had 8 carries for 24 yards and no catches vs the Pats. Sprites had 15 and Barner had 9, come on Barner get more attempts than Murray? Murray does not fit in Chips offense, if Murray becomes vocal Chip will release him.
