You would have to think that David Gettis and Nick Williams are the two that is most likely the odd men out

Who in the top 6 there plays special teams? Hard to justify keeping 6 if none play ST.

It seems to me that S. Moss and N. Williams are most likely gone. I didn't understand (beyond a loyalty signing) why Moss was brought back. Here's the case for keeping the 26 y/o Gettis.......................

He also returned 8 kickoffs for 145 yards, and recorded an 88-yard touchdown reception against Baltimore in week 11 – the second longest touchdown reception in Panthers history.

Who thought jackson was going to be released then sign in DC I agree though Moss is probably released. You guys look pretty solid at WR.

Yeah.....pretty solid, the only issue that I have ( and that's nit-pickin') is the size of our receiving corp.

Agreed! Gettis showed flashes, prior to getting hurt in Carolina. I like his skill-set. It also helps that he and RGIII played together, while he was at Baylor. We've seen what ex-Baylor WRs, who played with RGIII has done in the NFL.

i should add williams too . i dont see why we would hold onto moss unless he returns punts he is a BU to roberts

the draft could also shake things up

If that's the case, Moss will be gone. It's gonna come down to Andre Roberts or DeSean returning punts. Honestly, I think Roberts will be the guy because we obviously don't want to get DeSean hurt. Still, it would be nice to have him back there, just for a chance to take one deep. It hurts me to say this because I've been a fan of his, since his U days. He once had DeSean Jackson's speed. He's not really fast, anymore. His forte was also returning punts. He's not that good at that, anymore. He still fumbles and drops passes at times. Not to mention, he'll be 35 in June. Just saying.

i think moss will be given every chance to make the team but in the end he gets cut

Guys... if Moss doesnt have a shot at making roster, then there was no need in resigning him. He was still our 2nd highest in receptions for WRs last year despite age, less playing time. I wouldnt just write him off just yet is all Im saying.

I agree with Dad. We signed Moss to give him a chance to go out on his own terms. We also didn't have a clue that Jackson would be on the team. I think he will be given every opportunity, but it will come down to keeping an aging vet that won't see many snaps over a young receiver that could develop for the future. I just don't feel his chances are very good. Before we signed DJ, I would have said it was 50-50. Now, I give him a 20% chance of making the final 53.

There was no reason to resign Moss before Roberts and Jackson got here. On another thread some of you stated that the signing was in large part, out of loyalty. It just seems a judgment error to me, unless the front office didn't think that up-grades were necessary at wide-out, which also would have been an error in judgment. Did anyone here think that the signing of Moss was an up-grade???

Plain and simple, the man is currently on roster. If he earns a spot on the final 53, so be it. Moss has been a redskin long enough that Im not going to hope he isnt on the roster in order to hold onto some one younger who cant or hasnt out performed him.

I'm the one that said that and it is because I agree with you, its the only way I can rationalize the signing. He is not an upgrade. He has been a great Redskin and deserves to be treated with respect. In that sense, if he wants to give it one last shot, why not let him come to camp? Just make sure that he understands that he has to make the team based on his on his performance in camp, not on his history with us.
