Boys eat better today...Pretty good OL's there, and the best ever, LA not even included. One question about the Cowboys listed Height/Weights....Travis Fredrick, 6'4'' 318....Nate Newton 6'3'' 318....ummmm.....

The average weight of a Defensive Lineman on the 1966 Green Bay Packers D Line was 248 pounds.......part time athletes
The average weight of a Defensive Lineman on the 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers D Line was 260 pounds..........part time athletes
The NFL players, of the 90s, for the most part, were year around athletes.......weight trainers, lifters
and now days, they are well conditioned, year around athletes........and weight trainers, lifters

and of course these stats do not reflect the speed and agility of players in 1992, 2016

players now days, are bigger,stronger,faster.....and better trained.......better team speed

not necessarily better coordinated teams

I copy on the great heritage, but no way I put this group in there yet. They got all the hype around them, but they have plenty to prove on the field. Two weeks into the season, I find myself wondering why Dallas is struggling on the ground. I thought they were going to average five yards a clip. I didn't really think that, but I sure as Hell know some Cowboys fans that thought that was very much within the realm of possibility. I'd like to this group get their asses in gear tonight, but it sounds like both OT positions may be an issue.

Wonder why Stepnowski got out of town. I know Donaldson came in and did great as well.

I believe the COWBOYS had salary cap issues because of the signing of Deion Sanders and couldn't afford some players
Didn't Harper leave about the same time?

The 2016 Oline is this year's MVP.

In the Steeler game
On the one fake Jet reverse / screen to Zeke 83 yard TD, Fredrick, Leary and Martin made blocks 20 yards down field.

If I remember correctly Martin's block was where he caught it at the LOS

HGH is used by most players because it can't be detected when they are drug tested.

I forgot Terrence William's block...not an Olineman, but deserves credit (considering I've ripped him in the past)

I thought it absolutely could be detected, but since it occurs naturally there is no way to prove you took something. Thought I remembered that with the Bonds talk, but not really sure

Until there is a way to detect HGH athletes will continue to use it.

HGH is tested with blood samples, not the traditional pissing in a cup.

But they CAN detect it is what i always heard, right? The issue was if they don't have a baseline the test only shows the level and the player can just say they have an abnormally high level

Yes the can, and do test for it in the NFL. I just read they have NO positives in 5 years of testing. My cynical side says the reason the have 0% is the true percentage would shut down the game.
