Vancouver city council unanimously votes to support regulating and taxing marijuana.

good. even though I don't partake personally, this is the right move.
let the police concentrate on actual harmful crimes, and maybe reduce the gangs activity around the pot business.
and the revenue from taxing it should keep my damned property taxes lower.

I don't partake much these days either, but this is a step in the right direction, for sure.

No. If they were on pot, they would have just collectively found a couch to mellow out on.
And Dominos would have had a record night.

Also, riot jokes are not funny, so stop it.

Have we decided the riot puns will stop like we stopped with the Rags jokes with Jeff? If so, I missed it. Sorry.

I think they're pretty funny. I mean the second guy from the left's outfit alone could provide 2 pages of humorous quips.

I didn't realize that this is something that could be done at the municipal level. If that is the case then I wish my city would do the same. I rarely use the stuff myself but if it's a means of generating more revenue without property taxes going up then I'm all for it.

yeah I thought the province still has to do legislate it and tax it? I didn't think a municipality could do it. so would it be just Vancouver and not Delta, or Surrey, richmond etc...

In case you didn't know/care, but that's Randy Rhodes.

Mostly famous for his guitar work with Ozzy on the "Dairy of a Madman" & "The Blizzard of Ozz" cd's. (Crazy Train, Suicide Solutions, I Don't Know, Over the Mountain, Flying High Again etc..etc)

He was an outstanding musician who died well before his time, but yeah......talk about looking like my sister in that pic :eek2: lol

its just vancouver city govt getting their name out there ... it isnt the first time they have come out with proclamations that they can do sweet fuck all about ... I believe they once made a proclamation in council calling for the arrest of George Bush as a war criminal

how bout fucking dealing with pertinent civic issues instead of wasting the taxpayers dollar on shit they can do nothing about
