OT: Utley gets traded today (maybe)

Reports are that the Giants are the leading contenders to get Chase Utley, maybe today. Problem is, we don't get a very good prospect back for one of the best Phillies ever. I know he has to get traded, for the good of Chase, as well as the Phils. I would hope it would be the Cubs, who have a good farm system, and we get a better prospect.

Being selfish I hope he stays. He has his ring already so hopefully he stays and retires as a Phillie. It's about doing a solid for Chase not what we get back at this point.

Now the word is that the Cubs and Angels are the front runners to acquire Chase, who has had a hot bat since rehabbing. Yes! The
giants farm system is very thin as far as prospects go. Go Cubbies!

Glad that chase gets to play for a contender, and close to his home, and unite with Jimmy. Hope the prospects we got pan out. It was time to move on, and we get more assets to rebuild with.

Meh, I would have liked to see him retire with the Phillies. The true rebuilding pieces will come from the top 3 picks we should have over the next 2-3 seasons. Added to a core of Franco, Nola and Crawford.

Nice prospect back in the trade. Sweeney can run and hit for power. .271 in AAA.
