I hope they find a lot of survivors. Please don't take this wrong but I've always said I would never live in tornado alley. Those things are unpredictable, frequent, devastating you can't 100 % prepare for them or the anount of destruction they can leave.

It's not like they happen only once every 20 years..........fuck tornado's I'll live with the snow I can shovel it and it melts.

I have friends in Oklahoma (although they're closer to Tulsa than Oklahoma City), thoughts and prayers to all, such devastation.

Agree 100% Boss. Can't understand why anyone would ever willingly live there. I don't get it at all.

Good luck to the victims and their families.

Except on rare occasions like this one, the damage path is usually very small. In the path is complete devastation, but overall it is very small, and the predictions have gotten way better. If you are one to play percentages and risk, it's probably less likely you'll be personally affected even living in a prone area. Doesn't mean it's not scary as hell when that siren goes off.

Earthquakes. Now that's something I don't want any part of. Been through Tornadoes, Hurricanes and Eeathquakes and of the three, I'll take my chances with a Tornado. Would prefer not to deal with any of them, though.

Reading this morning that Kevin Durant has donated $1 million for Oklahoma tornado relief. Way to go KD.

Thanks for the link evolver, amazing and frightening at the same time.

No problem

Of course I mourn the loss of life, but I can't help but be fascinated by the power this tornado created. It is amazing to me that something this powerful occurs naturally on our planet.

Yeah, it is pretty amazing. I wonder if there are any comparisons on the amount of energy expelled by an F5, a Cat 5 Hurricane and 7.0 or higher earthquake.

I was in San Fran after the 89 quake, and the devastation was just... numbing. To see the freeway bridges it just folded was insane.

I hope I never have to see the damage from a tornado of that size up close.

The storm has just stalled outside OKC, It's flinging tornadoes left and right, but the storm itself is not really moving. Downtown evacuated.

Crazy.

Be safe people!
