My dad was involved with Amway for a long period of time, so in order to remain pumped up to "live the dream" he would subscribe to ridiculous magazines, like 'Hatteras Weekly' or whatever (so sue me, I can't remember the name of the yacht magazines). Anyway, one had an ad in the back for an exotic massage parlor or something, that mag got torn to shreds by me in junior high.

My mother used to get the "Adam And Eve" catalog (she never knew how or why) which advertised a bunch of ****ographic materials. It was probably PG 13 but back then it was pretty hot.

One time I got home from school and she had gotten that catalog in the mail and a book in a cardboard envelope and for some reason I thought it would be something similar so I opened it. It was "Late Night With David Letterman - The Book" which I knew was for me so I immediately felt bad and tried to repackage it. As I did my mother pulled into our driveway so I forced that book in there and shoved the cardboard flap back in. I could have won, or at least been nominated, for an Oscar when she gave it to me and I acted surprised.

Adding to true confessions...

I injured my ankle this weekend... playing golf. And not actually playing it either. I was returning the cart after a round, let my leg slip out of the side and it snagged on a chunk of a curb that was broken. My ankle/foot got immediately pulled back behind me (while the cart chugged on forward) and I twisted it pretty bad but managed to jerk it back into the cart. I can actually limp a little today, so after years of various ankle injuries from soccer and basketball over the years, I can tell you it's been a lot worse before. Stupid weak ankles. Anyhow, that was the second unmanly thing I did yesterday.
