For the people that wonder what if???? I am one of those , so this really interested me today. Scott Peoli- the ex Pats/ Chiefs GM was on the Dan Patrick show today. Many have always wondered what happens if Bledsoe never gets hurt. Peoli answered that Belichek was getting ready to make the change anyway. That game sent the Pats to a 1-3 record. Peoli said that Belichek had mentioned earlier that week that he would like to see what Brady had against 1st teamers. So basically he was getting ready to get to play anyway.
The most interesting part though- In todays game a lot of teams only carry 2 qbs. Peoli said the Pats were way over the cap that year and had to sign 29 new players. He said they were stacked at QB with Bledsoe , Bishop, and John Freeze. They didnt even really want him, but he was there and the value was too good to pass in the 6th round. They kept 4 QBS on their roster that yr. Just thought I would throw that out there for the football historians
