61 HR Roger Maris stuck on the Yankee bench, best pinch hitter ever.

What's the sticker on the side of it? Is that "Fuck Larry Merchant"?
Yeah it says Larry Merchant sucks.
Out of all the people who you would think sucks Larry wouldn’t be anywhere near the top of the list.

Haha it's funny that I had clicked away from the picture before writing this and remembered something even worse. I love Larry Merchant.

Warning - if you have not seen the film, do not click the video below. Go watch 1917.

The way this scene ratchets up in intensity is remarkable. I've been playing and replaying it, looking for different things each time. The attention to detail is fucking stunning.

This film overall was an incredible achievement and a very fitting tribute to all those who fought and died in WWI. It's a shame that none of them got to see it.

Have not seen Parasite so I will refrain from blasting the ever-loving hell out of it, but I do wonder how 1917 didn't win Best Picture.

I really enjoyed 1917 - definitely fantastic cinematography and captured the eeriness/despair of the trench warfare of World War 1. I really liked how the whole movie felt like one long tracking shot over several miles. But not a ton of character development and I didn't think about it much after I watched it.

But if you haven't seen Parasite yet, do so post haste. It's amazing storytelling and you think about it for weeks afterwards. It was probably the best movie I've seen in the last 5 years or so.
