I get new ideas all the time, but one of the things I typically go back to is the Sorcerer's Apprentice and the wave from Fantasia. Always thought that would look cool on a purple sky backdrop

Or, Eddie Van Halen's frankenstrat guitar pattern. Or some abstract looking Guilf Oil livery from the Porsche 917 Or...
