Not really scarcity more to do with the fact it is trying to make a high end truck with unreal speed/power.

Like you I don't think the price stays that high because it is truly a niche market. Also never understood why you would want a high end 4x4 pickup, I would be afraid to get it dirty, hence defeats the purpose of owning one.
