They're both wrong. The problem I have with CNN is they're making a big deal about a small church wanting to burn the Koran but not covering the whole story.

There take is it's wrong because it could endanger our troops overseas. Meanwhile they're burning the American Flag & throwing rocks at our tanks & troops & CNN gave me the impression that it's okay for them to do so because of what one pastor of a small church wants to do on 9/11.

I agree with your second paragraph.

I don't really see the correlation between what a bunch of foreigners who live under a completely different set of rules and values are doing in there own country with what a US minister is doing in this country.

Just because we are not treated with respect there by some doesn't change the way we should behave here.

We supposedly have freedom of religion in this country so I do take issue with a US church having a "International Burn A Koran Day". So I dont have a problem with news medias badgering him, though they are giving him exactly what he wants.

Sorry, while I don't consider myself liberal or conservative having political views that fall into both sides depending on the topic, I just do not care for Fox News.

Like in this case I feel they far too often completely exaggerate a story (or non-story) into something that very little resembles what the story is really about. And I feel they do it purposefully treating their audience as dumb along the way. But hey, 4 months later that poll is still getting hits and comments made on it so their actions work well.

The four "D's" {Distraction/Distortion/Disinformation/Deception} are prevalent in every single mainline news outlet there is and it's a real shame many don't see it.

I can care less what people do... This is a free country. However the fact that it can jeapordize the lives of fellow Americans fighting for our freedoms overseas is good enough reason to abandon the idea.

i dunno comeds... i understand a lot of people don't like fox news but i think a major reason for that is because most of the other news outlets right now sway (at varying degrees) to the left, where as fox news is the only one leaning right, therefore it sticks out like a sore thumb

being almost alone, combined with the fact that people rarely are willing to admit the flaws in their particular sides point of view, its easy right now to say oh well fox news is a sham because they are more critics than supporters of the current inhabitants of the whitehouse.

but it goes the same way for the others, i just think for now they are hidden better because there are more of them. keith olberman? just as ridiculous as glenn beck in the opposite direction.


as far as this issue goes however, there have been several incidents especially in schools with the american flag. and were not talking having to say god bless america or anything...

2 children in california (i believe outside san jose) were sent home from school for wearing t shirts with the american flag on it because 'it could offend other kids', and they refused to turn them inside out

then just the other day yahoo had an article up that at a high school a kid was being pushed by his school to take and american flag off of his car (why exaclty i'm not sure i didn't have time to read it in its entirety)

and even outside the flag, about 3 months ago a state park bordering along the mexican border in arizona was made off limits to 'american citizens' because it was too dangerous due to the fact that its used as a highway for drugs and illegal immigrants coming over the border.... uh what? you may as well have given mexico part of the state, instead of simply enforcing that being an illegal immigrant is ILLEGAL, or that trafficing drugs is ILLEGAL
