At least they had the good sense to not include Lombard St in the chase. That would have instantly made it cliche.

For raw power that car chase is pretty badass - i enjoyed how one of the drivers buckled a waist belt? Like that was going to do anything taking blind turns with that many horses at the rear wheels.

Agreed - I noticed the seat-buckling also (none of those wimpy shoulder straps or airbags!). Kinda reminded me of Quint buckling into his seat in Jaws. Like THAT was going to help.

The route they follow is all over the city. My wife, a native San Franciscan, always shakes her head at the chase saying, "You can't get there for here!"
Still, a pretty awesome chase. And Steve McQueen was the poster boy for cool.

Yep. Love how he's downtown, and one left turn he's on Potrero hill....but that's typical for movies shot in SF.
