I was wondering how they would connect the two storylines. Very nicely done. I knew the phone ringing was him being off the deep end, but didn't realize it would be former characters. I would love for him to get a phone call from Shane.

yeah I kinda suspected that and was hoping for a call from Shane. maybe that still happens. that was some good human to human killings. the governor also knows that merle is lying at least I think he does and merle will pay for that.

andrea is such a power slut. she likes the mean guys.

Other than Lori, the 3 characters he spoke to were all last seen in season 1. I think next week he might gets calls from Sophia, Dale, and Shane who all died in season 2.

Also I guess there are only 2 more episodes until the mid-season break. It looks like Rick and the Governor will likely meet in the mid-season finale.

I was thinking that as well for their first confrontation, Andrea should be a part of Glenn and Maggie's escape but you never know

Merle really is the wildcard. Killing the guy he was with, blatantly lying to the Governor, I thought maybe he had turned a corner but he still seems like a scumbag. The Governor knows he was lying (at least I suspect that) and he didn't let him go looking for his Brother so I'm not so sure how strong their bond is. The main group certainly doesn't trust him and vice versa, so I'm really curious to see how he dictates what happens from here on out.

although it moved the plot to where it needed to go.

loved the way Mischonne showed up outside the fence. I was thinking, "yeah right, what zombie is going to pick up a basket...ooooooooooooooh"

anything regarding Andrea is just not interesting. she had better be instrumental in the rescue of MagGlenn

Merle made it a confusing meeting and controlled it that way to get the drop

Am I mistaken in thinking that Daryl isn't even much of a fan of Merle? When he was imagining him in the woods last season after impaling himself he didn't seem to fond of him. Although I suppose it could've been the situation and mindset he was in. Merle, with all due respect to the Governor, is the most intriguing character to me.

Oh man I really liked both of those parts! The thing about deleted scenes is that they are very interesting but sometimes so much so that I get pissed off that they were deleted. I was always wondering/hoping that the "Vatos" might reappear. I guess since it got deleted it means they still might since they didn't get taken out. In hindsight that certainly looks like they were foreshadowing the Governor. I loved how Daryl was being jerk to Sophia and Shane was being nice to her. That would have made their turns after she went missing that much cooler.

It always seemed like a piece was missing between when Rick killed the zombies to save Sophia as we see her wonder off and then the next thing we see is Rick back at that spot with some of the others. That was another scene they should have kept. I liked everyone reaction as they realized Sophia was still missing.
