OT: The Walking Dead - BEWARE OF SPOILERS

was at the library last night with the kids and noticed this so i took it out and read it last night

can someone who is up to date on the book series tell me how it works ... i see volume 2 is next ... but theres also a compendium series and also a book series (are these just amalgalms of the comics with multiple volumes?)

So anyhow after Hurley dies oh shit spoiler alert oh shit you havent met Hurley yet. Well never mind.

The compendiums are just different trade paperbacks (like the one you read last night) combined into much larger books. Nothing new. Basically they package 5 or 6 comics into the trade paperbacks ever six months or so. Then every couple of years they package the trade paperbacks into compendiums. Then of course they release versions in hardcover and softcover.

There is at least one novel that is an offshoot on one of the characters in the comic but I haven't read that and know nothing about it.
