Mr. Knowitall
We begin with the String Theory. I would like to see an educated argument in layman's terms for and against this theory.
I watched an episode of "The Universe" last night and they were talking about the String Theory as well as Hawking's book The Grand Design. It was very interesting, but at times, a lot to take in (I was tired as fuck as well).
Many members of the "String Community" believe that nature works by laws, and that everything is mathematically predictable going all the way back to a starting point that can't be explained. However Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow say that the starting point (being the Big Bang) happened by Time and Space being seperate collided. I'm pretty sure that is the gist of what I got from the show.
Can someone explain to me a little bit more on this exact "event"? I'm hoping that show is On Demand so I can rewatch it in a more awake state.
