OT: Straw Dogs was Peckinpah's finest hour

Now they remade it and I'm almost positive I don't want to see it...the original starred a young Dustin Hoffman, and is a classic...the movie was panned at the time because it was considered too violent...all of Peckinpah's movies were....and it included a graphic r*pe scene. Peckinpah is one of my 3 favorite all time directors..Scorcese and Walter Hill are the others...and I'm afraid to see what they've done with this film...Im looking for feedback from anyone that sees this film....thanx.
