I recall something similar in a styrofoam cooler, but it didn't make it THAT high.

My research group is planning on rigging something involving law chairs to take a person up 10 - 20 feet or something. I'm sure we'll film that, too. =P But our plans are certainly not as cool as sending a camera to the brink of space to film the Earth and the blackness of space. That's just epic.

Ever see this video of the guy that jumped from the edge of space from a hot air balloon...He jumped from 103,000 feet falling at speeds up to 614 mph.....awesome clip...

It's insane what they did in the 50/60's to see how far we could push the human body...I'm sure we still do that, but not nearly as publicly.
