Next stop is the great pyramid in the sky (or is it a bandstand?)

RIP Mr. Clark

RIP Mr Clark. I remember watching AB many years ago. New Years Eve will not be the same.

RIP Dick Clark. Tough times at the end, but you had one hell of a run.

#Canucks were at Staples Center on New Year's Eve, the last time the world saw Dick Clark. Both dropped the ball that night

Ah yes, Steve Rucchin. 6 foot 2 inches tall. 215 pounds. Played high school hockey at Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School. Played 10 seasons with the Ducks before spending one season with the Rangers and Thrashers. Had 164 career penalty minutes. Born July 4th, 1971. I totally remembered who that was and didn't have to look him up on Wikipedia or anything.

I can't remember who it was at the swamp, but he/she created an Awards category called the Rucchin awards. Essentially, it was a listing of players who benefitted the most from their linemates/teammates (or in Seacrest's case, co-stars).

Lol, that's pretty good.

In DC, we call it the Zubrus Award!

Sorry that he passed away. He was an American Institution.

But, I had a real problem with them trotting him out there every year after his stroke. I found that to be in poor taste and pathetic. Just leave the poor guy alone.

I'm probably just sensitive having watched a close friend of the family suffer through a stroke, but I really wanted to cockpunch anyone who thought it would be all nostalgic and fun to roll him out there and destroy any dignity he had left.

I am waiting for someone big to say something bad about him. He, and his production company, often looked for popular things then made their own versions of them. "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" comes out here and DCP comes out with "Greed". The Grammys do well so DCP comes out with the "American Music Awards". "The View" does well so he comes out with "The Other Half". And so on.

He was a thief but he was an institution and apparently a nice guy because I rarely see him called out. But some people hated him and his business practices. .

I really believe that was his doing/decision. I don't think "them" could have stopped him. I applaud him for that.
