Due to the death of the actor playing her, Mrs. Krabapple will be retired from The Simpsons. I don't watch the new episodes very often but somehow this still bums me out a bit.

Even though she had no association with them, I put her on the same comedic pedestal as two other classic female comediennes, Carol Burnett and Vicki Lawrence. She will be missed. RIP.

Yeah, I would agree with that - The Carol Burnett show was terrific, that was must see tv for me as a kid.
