Anyone else watching this?

I have it on and McIlroy hurt his wrist hitting a tree root. He's having it wrapped up, wincing some, and the announcers just said "Hockey players are probably laughing at this."

Then this was just tweeted by Ryan Shannon of the Bolts:
@McIlroyRory may have some hockey player in him grinding through the wrist injury. #pgachamp #respect

I guess they aren't laughing.

So, Tiger shot a +7 today. Will he ever win another major? Two years ago I thought this was a crazy thought. But so many strong young guys right now. It's possible he may not.

As much as his body is beat up, I think he's lost the mental edge (i.e. guys aren't afraid of Tiger anymore). Also, Tiger won a lot of tournaments by always making the big putt (and subsequently putting a dagger into his challengers) and lately, anything greater than four feet is a knee-knocker for Eldrick.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like there is a lot more depth in the field now than when Tiger was in his prime. Not to take anything away from Tiger, he's probably the best ever but who were his opponents? Phil? Maybe Ernie Els and then a massive drop off in talent.

it should also be noted that Rory broke his 7-iron on the shot.
next par 3 was 185 yards, and he put an 8-iron within about 5 feet.

It's weird to think that a person is that good one day and poof it's gone the next. I just don't see how the mental hang up could be that bad, who does Tiger have to feel bad for? I'm not arguing with you, I agree something has just left, maybe his time to pay Satan has finally arrived, lol.

I was thinking more of the mental edge from Tiger's opponents point of view, SF. Tiger was such a great front-runner that once he grabbed the lead in a tourney, it was pretty much over and everybody else was fighting for 2nd place . Tiger was never a great come-from-behind guy on Sunday, but he was also rarely in that position either.

I doubt if we'll ever see that type of dominance again from Tiger.

Ha ha I knew what you were saying Dash, It's just weird that he has lost his dominance, Like you said he was so dominate he hardly ever had to come back from afar, but to seem to lose that over night is crazy. It would be like Federer going out and just getting smoked match after match. Maybe he should come play me a few rounds and build his confidence back up.

From David Feherty about Rory McIlroy: "thankfully he's 22 years old, so his right wrist should be his strongest muscle"

LOL!

Well, he's a major winner now, so I'm sure the "help" can take care of that for him. He should consult Tiger on the matter. ;)

Looks like the wrist is affecting him today. He's a +3 today with only a few holes left and is right on the edge of the cut line.

So did anyone see the conclusion yesterday? It was a couple of no-names, but exciting as hell. Bradley made up 5 strokes in three holes. From 16 to 18, he went birdie-birdie-par while Dufner hit bogey-bogey-bogey. Forced a playoff and Bradley is only the second guy since 1913 to win a major in his first major appearance. Insane.

This makes 15 majors in a row without a repeat winner.

I could care less about golf but was looking for something to watch and turned in on during the last hole in regulation and was entertained enough to watch the playoff. Very enjoyable.

AHA! So in the future you MAY care marginally about golf. Gotcha!

I like to play it (poorly), but I do not see myself ever making a point of watching it.
