mavs just provided the worst championship celebration i have seen in sometime. most of the mavs players didn't even look like they cared all that much about winning it. what a joke

nothing beats a stanley cup championship celebration

It wasnt wrong what Lebron did, it was how he did it.

I can imagine little kids dreaming of winning in the MLB, NFL, and NHL but not the NBA

NBA celebrations have always been the worst of the major sports...but this one was especially dull. NHL is the best, MLB second, then NFL, far behind that is NBA. The NHL and MLB are sort of at an advantage...the celebration is part of the history. Rush the net/mound.

That said, I think the players who work the hardest celebrate the hardest. NHLers work the hardest to win that trophy...nothing harder.

it was just all so weird

it felt like it was just another game ... did the mavs know they won the championship or were they confused

Dirk leaves to have a personal moment ... thats ok i guess ... weird

Chris Bosh breaks down and falls to his knees and cries on his way down the tunnel ... weird

i was at a friends house and just decided to leave at that point ... listened to the espn radio broadcast of it driving home and Mike Tirico mentioned the Mavs were trying to take a team photo around the trophy "reminiscient of what you see in the stanley cup finals" (Tiricos words) ... weird and lame

yeah that was weird man. I have a feeling dirk had to leave for a medical reason. hes been incredibly sick the whole series might have needed a shot or something. but that was weird everything about that didnt feel like a team won the championship for the very first time.

I'm fine with how Dirk celebrated. After 13 years and falling short in 2006, being "the man" to lead them in Dallas, I think most guys would be emotional. He knew he was going to cry, didn't want the whole world to see it, so he went and had a moment. And probably puked...It's weird, because in the NBA most guys when they win run to half court, pound their chest and jump on the scorers table, but Dirk is humble. Maybe it was better, but the cameras were to busy (and the anchors too busy) focusing on the Heat losing than the Mavs winning.

Did you guys hear Lebron's postgame comments on people rooting against him? Said that people would wake up tomorrow with the same problems and have to get back to the real world, while he'd live his life the way he wants and do things with his family and be happy. So...basically he said "F you bitter fans, I'm richer than you and therefore have a much better life." What a classy, upstanding young gentleman. Can you imagine an NHLer EVER SAYING THAT?
