Alright, so with finals week coming to an end, this little college kid was ready to fly back to the Burgh. THEN, snow. Lots of snow. So my first flight (IND to DC) was scheduled for 10:01am, so I thought leaving 3 hours early should be plenty of time (the airport is 45 "normal" minutes away), right? WRONG. It took us 2.5 hours just to get to the AIRPORT. So I run in, with 30 minutes until my flight departs, tell the lady and BOOM Stand-by'd for the next flight to DC/Pitt...which was at 230pm. I was ticked. So I called my parents, got all angry, etc. and dwaddled through security to my gate. I get to my gate, grab a coffee, and sit. It's 1020am by now, and the lady calls my name for final boarding to DC. I jump up, excited, and get to STAY on my original course. Blah blah blah, delayed for awhile in DC with snow, sit forever...then we get on the plane and I'm sitting next to a very lovely looking (you'd all say smokin' hot) blonde haired woman, probably just barely older than me. I said "Hi" because I always try to be nice to the strangers on planes, even if all I get is a funny look, because sometimes it starts nice convo. She gave a half-hearted "Hi" back, and I just figured, "Eh, not a talker..." I felt bad because I always look out the window, but she had the window seat...probably thought I was a creep or something. Anyway, we FINALLY get to Pitt and as we're heading toward baggage claim (in Pitt you have to ride the tram to get back) she asked in broken-frenchified-english how to get to baggage, I helped her find our place, and then...from nowhere KRIS LETANG comes up and hugs her. I was sitting next to Tangers GF the whole time...what a missed opportunity. :/ COOL THOUGH!

**He's a LOT smaller than I thought he'd be.

So to summarize, she snubbed you until she needed your help...Nah, that's not a typical French (or French-Canadian) stereotype at all.

I once was just a few tables away from legendary MSU hockey coach Ron Mason. I decided to let him eat in peace rather than bother him though.

Dealing with celebs in public is hard though. There's a very thin line between being similar to a crazed Habs fan to being a unknowing Thrash fan. I mean, people recognized him, but in typical Burgh fashion, let him be for the most part. She wasn't really a snob (though caked on the make-up), I think she was more intimidated by the language barrier.

Dealing with celebs in public is pretty tough. And annoying at times. I usually just give in and autograph some shit for their kids. Sometimes I think I care too much...

I was on a plane one time, and ended up sitting next to some guy named Ted, who went on and on about his ex-girfriend Elaine, and how he was going to win her back.

I've still got the jersey you autographed for me when I was but a wee lad. Even today I still look with pride at the dedication: "Happy birthday you little fuckhead." What memories. I'll never forget that day.
