I saw them during the Disintegration tour, that will have to do. I'm not paying the prices. Plus, accuse me of ageism but seeing a 65 year old Robert Smith is not high on my list of things to do.

I wonder what will happen first...The US gets affordable health care or the strangle hold Ticketmaster has on events is broken. Both have been talked about since the 90s, so far nothing. I guess these things take time

Guess I am firmly back in the "never going to any shows anymore" camp.
Support your small (non ticketmaster) events

I got tix for this instead. $27 all in, capacity of the WISE Hall is about 250 people
Beer will be $6 instead of $22

I saw the Cure back in the mid 90's. Probably the Wish tour? no idea who opened.
two memorable things:
- they were much better live musically than I would have expected
- the girl i brought had a pierced tongue

I'll do an old guy radio today too, heard this in a show the other day and its been stuck in my head all week.

If anyone wants to hear something horrible, look up the 1986 version of this song. Just learned it existed and I am sorry for it. Pretty woman in video though

probably my favourite Irish band
(The Pogues and Thin Lizzy would round out the top 3)

Someone played this for me today saying "These guys covered a Metallica song like an Irish folk song".

Well....

I posted this in the Heavy Metal Rock 'n Roll thread some time ago...Terry Kath was a heck of a guitarist and this Chicago concert at Tanglewood was excellent.
