This is the only time of year I watch college basketball. We should probably keep a chat for it going.

Today I will be watching Kentucky-Auburn, Kansas-Iowa State, and UNC-Notre Dame.

What games will you be watching? Who are you pulling for?

Well, so far you've seen one horrible contest and one really good one.

I want Ky to go undefeated headed into the tournament. That's where I hope their first and last defeat comes.

Kansas really looked bad in that second half. And yeah Kentrucky blew the doors of Auburn. Not really a fair match when you have so many NBA ready players. Kentcuky might beat a D League team.

Watched Arkansas at Kentucky a week ago. Arkansas had been hot coming in ... and Kentucky just blew them away like they were a preseason scrimmage.

Oklahoma probably won't make it past the second round, so whatever.

I am cracking up at how dumb Bill Walton is. All he does is argue with his play by play guy the whole game. It's really awful, but funny at the same time.

I'll be rooting for my SMU Mustangs. They'll either be a 5 or a 6 seed most likely. They are capable of beating any team in the country (except for Kentucky), but a lot will depend on their nerves in being back in the big dance for the first time in forever. They check off a lot of the successful tourney team attributes: great coach, led by a star upperclassman guard, excellent in all aspects of the interior game (scoring, rebounding, defense), don't rely very heavily on 3's, and a variety of players who can score instead of just 1 or 2.

BUT, their Achilles heel is a really bad one- turnovers. They do everything else so well but they are terrible when it comes to carelessly turning the ball over. They rank something like 212th in the nation in turnovers... awful.

If they can somehow stay focused, they could go as far maybe even as Elite 8. But if the moment gets the better of them and their turnover troubles pop up, they could be upset in Round 1.

Other than SMU, I will be rooting for as many underdog and small school victories as possible. Oh, and anyone but Kentucky.

One thing about sports is that people have different quirks. Some people like when small schools ruin blue bloods fun. Other people want only traditional powers to do well. And others just only care about their damn bracket. For me, college basketball is something I watch once a year at most. The only thing I know is that I want Duke to lose as soon as possible always. Coach K is a huge dick. He's not a lone in that department, but man he's made a career off being a huge douche.

Jesus....I better go to bed. Spelling and grammar mistakes galore in that one.

I hope SMU beats those annoying UCONN huskies. Cannot stand Jim Calhoun...I know he's not there anymore, but that guy was crooked.

I hope they do too (obviously), but also because I don't want UConn to steal away a bid from a more deserving at-large team. The AAC tournament is in Connecticut and they're basically allowing UConn to ride a crazy home-court advantage with over 20,000 screaming UConn fans at the XL Center all the way to a possible tourney bid. UConn is terrible on the road and would have been bounced in round 1 if this tournament were being played elsewhere.

Beat those Huskies. ESPN loves them so damn much it's sickening.

If I have to listen to this he-beast Doris Roberts slobber over UConn anymore I'm gonna be sick.

I hope SMU can keep up this defensive intensity. They are making it really hard on UCONN and they are owning the defensive glass.

Yeah, but their shooting has been shit so far. They could be up by a lot more by now.

They left Purvis open and now UCONN is back in it despite not hitting a FG for 10 minutes.

Yeah, frustrating. They've eliminated Boatright and done so much well, but they gave up 2 easy 3's and it's a single digit game again.

Boatright whines and frowns more than most college players out there.

Well they came right back which is good. Have a chance to go up 14 at half time now.
