OT: LimeWire Shut Down...

Vuze massively slowed down my computer and messed up my internet settings.

utorrent was much more efficient, and faster.

My Limewire conked out years ago. one day it simply stopped connecting. I use Frostwire now. Pretty reliable, no viruses, spyware etc...

Just use Amazon for your music. 99 cents a song and/or 5.99 to 9.99 for an album. I know its not free but I got tired of downloading mislabeled or messed up songs.

You don't find it a resource hog? Unless you're watching or listening to your downloads directly from Vuze, or using some 3rd party apps, I highly recommend utorrent. All the same features, same speed, but uses way less resources.

You might not have gotten a "virus" but you can be pretty confident people were browsing your whole hard drive for fun. Any of those share services can be very easily manipulated to show your whole drive.

I've seen all kinds of stuff on those.

Good riddance to limewire. Torrents are better. Except, apparently, in Canada.

Vuze gets more piggish the more they offer "features". I wish I still had the old Azureus client. That was AWESOME.

For some reason, whenever I used Azureus (old or new) my internet browsing went down to nothing. And it would stay at nothing until I restarted the computer. Don't know why, I fiddled with all the settings but could never solve it.
