Surprising considering how abruptly he left, how onboard he was in making TO a contender from the get go.

Me thinks he isn't going to get the control like he maybe initially thought (one of his first acts was to try and remove the wall decorations of Leafs past from inside ACC. It didn't happen. I understand why he would - can't live in the past - but also shows what pressure is there) so rather than go along for the ride he may as well leave and walk away. I would hate to be a GM there or Montreal, fan pressure dictates my job more than my boss. That's pathetic.

Would be curious if the Kings would offer him a position back. They seem to be doing fine without him, but we all know how this franchise loves to bring back former members.

I can't see the Kings bringing him back. I think he may have burned his bridges with AEG with the whole NFL franchise debacle. I doubt Anschutz would allow him back in the organ-eye-zation in any capacity.

Forgot about the NFL mess, he completely screwed the pooch there. So I agree, I don't see him coming back.

What would be awesome however is if they did bring him back...and made him a Red Coat. Your posh office Timmy Boy is called "a urinal".
