St. Joe Lake in Eastern Idaho, just a few hundred feet from the Idaho-Montana border.

I really enjoy it up there. That picture was taken from the state line trail that goes around half of the lake, but there's a few trails down to the lake and that's where we stay.

Lake Tahoe would be fun. How crowded does that get, I know it's a popular destination. One of the best parts about St. Joe Lake is that it's at shortest about a 6 mile hike in, so there's very few people there if any.

I was at Lake Tahoe years ago, and was at Pyramid Lake to climb that rock structure.

Tahoe is beautiful, but a little too touristy, in my opinion. It's definitely something to see at least once, though. Mount Whitney provides a hell of a camping destination. Small lakes throughout the hike, switchbacks, granite peaks, and forest beds.
