I'm just going to post random thoughts and see if anyone responds.

In the age of technology, I feel like spontaneity is sometimes lost. My former roommate called me last night and asked where I was. I said at home. He said he would be there in ten minutes. Sure, it was ten minute technology-aided spontaneity, but I appreciated it all the same.

Cupcake shows are having their brief spot in the limelight apparently. Not interesting at all to me. And I love Iron Chef and Chopped and anything with Alton Brown and Anthony Bourdain.

But the best cooking "show" is a webseries called "My Drunk Kitchen". Do yourself a favor and youtube it. I recommend the Brunch episode.

Missed this earlier, I am a fan of Bourdain. I think a new season starts tomorrow and he goes to Cuba, that might be fun. I'll look up "My Drunk Kitchen", love the name.

When I was on vacation while visiting my parents my mom made me potato pancakes and cabbage & noodles (halushki). Mmmmm.
