Five years? Geesh, got mine in only 3... but it's law school, some clown colleges are harder to finish.

Haha, the thing with science PhDs is that, while you're working on it, you're cheap labor for the institution, so they make sure you're there for a little while.

I'm starting my dues by fetching nitrogen and repairing leaks in the vacuum. Of course, that's not how it was planned. I'm only doing that because, until those leaks are fixed, I can't do actual research.

Rough first couple days. This has to be a good time to start school though. Economy should be in much better shape by the time you graduate, unlike right now. (sigh) At least I have a job, even if I'm underemployed.
