You know what I don't get? In the MLB you're basically allowed to do what ever you want with contracts. I swear they have the least limitations of any major league sport (and yet they can't trade draft picks). K-Rod was traded to the Brewers because of his crazy contract stipulations that would reward him something like 17 million next year if he finished 20 more games this year. So, he's traded and the Brewers restructure the contract so that doesn't exist. Just...odd. Can other sports do that? I feel like the NFL allow(ed)s it as well.
