Alright, time's up.

Darkstone wins. I shot a 103, my worst round in like 5 years (maybe 10). I also don't have a pitching wedge now since I threw it in the lake on the 17th hole.

(PS - I guess I'll have to hit you up in a day or two since I've apparently repped you recently.)

I have like 8 pitching wedges. Fly out to Arizona, we'll golf around, and I'll let you have one of the six with rust on them. :p

I'm imaging today. That means I can start up the instrument, let it run for five minutes, during which time I can do whatever I want, save the file, and start over. Imaging is great!

Lol. Nice. Golf in Arizona is amazing. I played the TPC at Scottsdale a number of years ago. It was incredible.

My irons were actually made in the '70s (they are mega old) and all too short for me anywhere, so the wedge isn't a big loss. It was time to move on anyway. Golf is such a bitch. You think you're playing better/improving and then she kicks you in the nuts.

Golf just kicks me in the nuts. She doesn't bother with all the pretense of making me feel like I'm getting better.

Lol. I just want to shoot par for a round one time and I'll die happy. I just be careful with my words though, my great grandfather died on a golf course. Shot a beautiful drive and fell over. Not a bad way to go.

I know, right! I just have to get ten good images. I'm getting my fifth right now. It's only been like a half hour.

That's a great way to go. He likely died happy. I always feel so good after a good drive.

Maybe because I don't hit many.

If I see him on the course, I'll always try to hit Manny.

Why would be be on a golf course?

Manny being Manny...

Lol! I love that expression.

Okay, open question... You know you get to accomplish one during your lifetime, but it means you won't ever achieve the other, which do you take...

Hole-in-one OR shoot a round of 72 par?

Round of 72 par. Holes in one are cool and all, but you have to buy the clubhouse drinks. I don't have that kind of money. Plus a round of par means I achieved consistent, sustained success for one whole round. A hole in one means I got lucky on one swing.

You?

Lol! I love the pragmatism. :)

I'm torn. I totally agree with your logic and I think I'd say par round. Shooting par has long been on my bucket list and hitting a hole-in-one is not, but that's mostly b/c I think I can control/improve to where I could achieve a 72, whereas a hole-in-one is mostly luck. I think you're right.

That said, the ecstasy of acing a hole might be second to none on a golf course.

But yeah, I guess par 72.

What about par on nine vs. a hole-in-one? Maybe that's a better question.

I usually only golf nine holes, so I'd probably still go with par. Unless my hole in one was on a par 4. :)

72, no question. hole in one can be a lucky shot.
to hold it together for an entire day? that's magic.

for perspective - sub 90 is a great day for me, so the par round is more of an impossibility that a hole in 1 with my game.

If I ever shoot under 100, I'll be ecstatic. :)
