Comeds is a good man
Comeds is a good man
Comeds is a good man
Did you know that he's the king of Baltimore's underground breakdancing scene?
Damn, the Pirates couldn't get a win for sbb who was at today's game...
Pix you read my knee thingy
We need a bat...big time. Fingers crossed for Hunter Pence...but it won't happen most likely.
Thrice! Hopefully this time it is the final time. Cartlage damage never was that bad so that is a good thing. 1st surgery they drilled some holes into the bone so hopefully it would stimulate the healing process. Didn't really work, but my growth plates were still open at the time so it wasn't a bad idea. The 2nd time, they went in to see how things had gotten after the 1st surgury, then the 3rd time, they went in and screwed 4 screws into my knee (my avi for awhile was an X-ray of my knee) and attempted to stablize my knee. In December they will take the 4 screws out.
Alvarez is mashing in AAA. He may prove to be a better "deadline acquisition" than anyone we could get off the market.
I'm also buying into an outfield of Tabata, McCutchen, Presley.
Pena would be a better trade target than Pence, in my opinion, because he wouldn't cost any prospects, would upgrade the offense, and would maintain good defense at first, without pushing a young contributor out of the lineup.
Also, I have a feeling Tabata will come back raking when he's healthy.
Yeah, if it doesn't work this time, then they are going to fill it with artificial carrtliage.
I would just like one more bat. I like picking up Grilli, safe bet bet there, Hurdle has experience with him, bolsters the pen a bit. Pence would just be a great long term addition, but I trust NH not to sell the farm. I like how Presley's been playing, but Pence? Can you imagine adding that? Pena, Ramierez, Beltran, are all nice ideas. I wish there were more 1B bats on market, THAT would be perfect.
I guess the artificial cartilage's lifespan is rather short, so as a young man it shouldn't be the first choice. That's my guess at least?
Pence would take one of Tabata or Mercer, and I don't think he's worth either when you consider salary and contract lengths. Pence is paid more than he produces, and he only has 2 years left on his deal, both arbitration years.
Beltran's just a bad idea because he'll also cost one of Tabata or Mercer, another good prospect, and he'll be a rental. Beyond that, he won't resign in Pittsburgh, and when he leaves, we won't even get compensation picks for him.
Ramirez makes sense if we're moving Alvarez to first right now. Otherwise, I'd stick to Pena.
Grilli was a nice pickup, and I think he'll replace what we lost when Meek went down.
I think it's worth inquiring about Ubaldo Jimenez, as well, since he's on the block right now.
It does stink, though, that in the year the Pirates are actually looking to add, there's nothing readily available on the market to add.
Youre just saying that to be nice in case I am a little person.
