I would like to join a softball league (well actually I'd like to join a baseball league, but doctors don't want me doing that with my knee and all). I'll still have to wait until the Spring before I can even think about that though. Doc's still might not want me to swing a bat and put too much torque on my knee..

I feel like I've told you what I have, maybe it was just this thread? :noidea:

Anyway, I have OsteoChondritis Dissecans (OCD) of the Knee. I'll be somewhat surprised if you have heard of it..

You underestimate me sir! I know precisely what it is! *Clears throat* It is the degeneration of the cartilage on the back of the patella which can cause the knee to lock up quite often as the cartilage can get caught in the joint space. Quite painful.

Did you have any surgery done? Not necessarily the treatment for it, but some cases do it to basically clean it out. Not a fun one for someone who likes to stay active though.

Thrice! Hopefully this time it is the final time. Cartlage damage never was that bad so that is a good thing. 1st surgery they drilled some holes into the bone so hopefully it would stimulate the healing process. Didn't really work, but my growth plates were still open at the time so it wasn't a bad idea. The 2nd time, they went in to see how things had gotten after the 1st surgury, then the 3rd time, they went in and screwed 4 screws into my knee (my avi for awhile was an X-ray of my knee) and attempted to stablize my knee. In December they will take the 4 screws out.

My knee is hurting just reading that. The one that stiffens up all the time and cracks when I extend it.

Miguel Cabrera is the best hitter I've seen to wear the old English D. 2-run HR after like 8-9 pitches. 422 feet.

Beachey's performance tonight further proves the point that I don't think Lowe shouldbe traded. Beachey is too young and Lowe is a great post-season pitcher.

5-0 Rockies after 2 BTW
