Wasn't intended negatively.Me and the wife went to California once for our honeymoon.We hit LA and San Diego for some reason people would get really nervous when they saw our drivers licenses or assume we were going to be mean.However I am much more comfortable with insults than compliments but an insult from me is usually just meant to make people to laugh

So I temporarily had this roommate for a few months who was originally from New Jersey. He was a total screwball. But every now and then he'd ask me, "Are you sure you're not from Jersey?! You're just like all the girls I grew up with out there. You don't seem like a real Californian to me."

Based on what he had to say about California and New Jersey, I took it to mean that he think I'm a jerk.

It's shitty down here too. Driving home from boarding last night was scary at points it was snowing/raining so hard.
