Twilight Singers just put out a new CD - Dynamite Steps.
vocals are a bit weak of track one, but the whole thing is pretty good.
If you don't know the band, start with Blackberry Belle

Tragically Hip last year put out their best release ina probably a decade - We Are the Same
if you don't know them, try Day for Night

I have really been digging Mark Knopfler's latest couple of solo releases
Get Lucky, and Kill to Get Crimson.
more folky / celticy than the Dire Straits stuff of yesteryear.
