Not to share sad news, but my Grandma passed away this morning. I was glad that I at least was able to see her one last time and say my goodbyes. Even though she was hooked up to machines and probably not aware I was there, at times it almost seemed like she was responding to me talking to her. She would grunt and shake a bit after I spoke.

I don't know what happens when we die, but I really hope she's somewhere happy and free of pain, surrounded by all her friends and loved ones.

For most of her life she took care of babies that no one wanted, and would sometimes have up to 5 at one time. Even with all that, she still would watch me and my brothers after school every day for years.

She was a Saint, and I will miss her deeply.

Sorry for your loss IPW. I still remember the day my grandma died, I was 12 and she was like a 2nd mother to me. I feel your pain IPW and hope she is in peace, wherever that may be

In other news it is crazy slick outside. Most people shoveled their sidewalks (good) however last night after the walks were cleared we got a bunch of freezing rain (not so good). At least it's raining now, so hopefully this will all melt by the afternoon.
