Here is something cool. My daughter has known all her life that I am a big Kings' fan. For Father's Day when she was 6 she gave me the puck with the crown. Today, my son gave me the blue puck. I have game signed jersey's, game pucks, sticks and other Kings' memorabilia. But these two pucks are the most precious Kings related items that I own.

Happy belated Father's Day to you and everyone else on this board as well.

My weekend was slammed, Mrs. Puck went out with the girls Friday evening so it was the 4 kids and I. I grilled some chicken, veggies, made some sides and we had a picnic in the backyard and then followed it up with Star Wars EI and EII.

Saturday we just went to Pet Smart and got cat food and the kids went nuts looking at the various creatures and animals. I never knew what a Chinchilla was until Saturday, and from my understanding they are nasty bastards. It looked like a combination of a rat and bunny to me, not even remotely what I would consider "cute and cuddly". I don't know what would possess someone to own one of these things other than to pretend to be cool, like owning a ferret or something.

Had lunch and then I played my hockey game at 3, ate dinner and tried to go to the drive ins but being last second we didn't get there with enough time left so it was full and we had to leave. Nice 90 minute waste of time. We did however do a late night park run, and the kids liked that.

Yesterday I got my favorite biscuits and gravy breakfast, this thing is a colon packer. I had two giant plate fulls and was completely gut bombed. Mrs. Puck makes this from scratch and it's awesome. Then we went to see my dad at the cemetery and with the middle ones getting older the questions are now starting, can grandpa hear us, where is he, etc. Had to explain to them that it's the life cycle, and that one day we will all be buried and gone. Thought of Tom obviously.

We had a late lunch so instead of my Father's day dinner (sloppy joes and sides - no one in this family eats them except me) we decided to grab a pizza from my buddy's joint and take it with us to the drive ins again, the kids really wanted to see Inside Out. My buddy tells us about a drive in I never knew about so we headed there and sure enough it was everything he said it would be - almost no lines, we got a nice spot and it's way cleaner without as much trash (people, not the stuff on the floor). The other one we go to is not nearly as nice. Watched the movie and headed home, had some tried campers and got my daddy on and carried the two middle ones at once upstairs and put them to bed.

Woke up had to go to work but Mrs. Puck is a stay at home mom now and took them all to Disneyland and just got back.

I didn't get a single present from anyone this year, not even a card, and I didn't get a call from my mom but honestly none of that bugged me, I had a great weekend with my kids and what's important to me.

Barbequed for the whole family as I've done for the last 20+ years.
Having the kids and family over is the only gift I need .

FYI-my brothers and brothers in law either undercook,or burn everything:suds:
